Welcome to the main page of the magazine — a place of articles, interesting materials and links that I hope will be useful for you. The magazine is developing gradually, slowly but surely, and its main goal is to inform and educate. Here we show that there is an alternative path of development, which is not limited to endless upgrades for the sake of the process itself or to the accumulation of resources without a goal. After all, being content with little, you can achieve a lot.

It is not about becoming an absolute ascetic and hiding behind an old computer, limiting yourself, but rather about understanding that the main thing is information and how you manage it. Its about how you can consciously choose technologies and approaches that really work for us, and not imposed by the market.

     Themes and inspiration

Articles touch on topics such as small net, indie web, retro internet, and also discuss such interesting protocols as Gopher and Gemini. We want to show that you can surf the Internet even on old PCs, and old technologies are still in service and more than worthy of being used. I love retro and appreciate the tube-like nature of technology and programming. There is a certain charm in this, something fascinating, especially when it comes to minimalism and compactness of code.

This is not just a magazine about technologies, but rather an attempt to rethink the approach to creating digital content. Perhaps, while reading, someone will think about creating their own page, reconsider their views and understand how best to organize and fill it. I myself often reread the information that I find, process it and choose the most useful for publication here.

     About design and approach

The design of the magazine may look atypical for today, but this is a conscious choice. I wanted the magazine to focus on information, not on visual effects. This is a simple and understandable code that is equally well displayed on old computers and on modern devices. This is optimization and speed — the principles that I consider important not only on the web, but also in life.

This is the feeling I want to convey on the pages of the magazine. My hobby is related to web programming, I have always gravitated towards minimalism — code that is simple and transparent.

We live in an era when the Internet has become a highly commercialized platform. Social media giants and corporations seek to monopolize the attention of users, immersing them in endless streams of content, advertising and algorithms. This path contradicts the foundations on which the early Internet was built — a free space for exchanging ideas and experimenting.

Join us

I will be very glad to every reader who joins this magazine — perhaps your contribution will help it grow into something more. Here you will find materials processed and translated by me, articles that I considered important and useful. Each section and each solution is a step towards showing that technology doesn't have to be complicated and overwhelming.

Thanks for stopping by.
